Mr. "Big Job Small Brain" is at it again.
Here we go again. It seems in the wake of questions concerning
his military career, an impending election and slumping poll
standings against John Kerry, good ol' George Dubya is once again
attempting to "Shock and Awe" the sheep... I mean people of the
United States.
Knowing once again that he can count on his people to be afraid and
alarmist, Mr. Bush has come out with an original yet alarming piece of
news:
"The greatest threat before humanity today is the possibility of secret
and sudden attack with chemical, or biological or radiological or nuclear
weapons."
Well... no shit. I sure as hell hope no one's buying this one.
At least not buying it as something original. Seems to me that
Weapons of Mass Destruction (or WMDs to use the term coined by the
U.S. propaganda ministry) and their potential to be used in a secret
or sudden attack has been the greatest danger to humanity since they
were invented. Lets not forget either who spearheaded that development effort.
On the other hand, perhaps I should not be too hasty when councelling folks
to ignore the latest rantings of this lunatic. There are other things to
consider. Questions like "what will Curious George do if people aren't distracted
by his latest round of hogwash?" come to mind. Perhaps his brain is in
fact large enough to grasp the concept that people sometimes need to be
shown rather than told. Hmm. All I can say is that if Kerry keeps gaining
ground as election time closes in, I won't be caught dead near any landmarks
lest I be caught dead near a landmark.
In closing, I would just like to tell all of my neighbors in the U.S. of A.
to just relax and keep your stick on the ice. And remember that come
election time, the decisions that y'all in the "land of the free" make
have a tendency to affect us all.
Say no to fear-mongering. Maybe, instead of buying in to the bullshit
fear tactics of leaders like Bush, try just taking a day off to go
fishing instead.
