Ahh... Canadian Politics. Small wonder the world... I mean the
United States does not take us seriously. As of this date, our
chief law-making body in the land has been paralyzed but infighting.
The bumbling indecisive Vs. the ranting ridiculous. Quite a week.
This week we are faced with a parliamentary budget vote which, if
not passed, will result in the collapse of the Canadian government,
a new election and the potential of Conservative-Separatist coalition
government. If that's not a match made in hell I don't know what is.
I mean, what kind of deal did they strike? "Yeah Gilles, you can
separate as long as you take all our fags"? But I guess I shouldn't
question his logic too much... after all he's got God on his side.
Well it seems that Stephen Harper and Gilles Duceppe have done a bit
of an about-face this week and have commited to not freezing
parliament for the coming week as they did last week. Could it be
the Stephen looked in the mirror and realized that he was coming off
like an idiot? I highly doubt it. When he looks in the mirror, which
I am sure he does often, he is more likely awe-struck by his own
beauty. I would suggest that either he is getting winded, or his
advisors shared the "him looking like an idiot" tidbit with him.
News Flash!
Belinda Stronach abandons the Tory bench to bring her millions and
her vote to the beleaguered Liberal party, buying herself a cabinet
post in the process. Hey... listen up MPs, that means there may be
only one more cabinet seat for sale... only costs one vote! Sell
your soul to the Liberals... they need one since they sold their's
to the NDP.
